We’re here to help you find a Medicare plan that suits you best.
So, what is Medicare?
Medicare is a national fee-for-service health care program for seniors, whereby the government pays health care providers directly for a number of services that fall under Medicare Part A and Part B (known as Original Medicare).
However, you may be looking for a lot more coverage than Original Medicare provides, whether due to existing health conditions, or just peace of mind.
If this is the case, you can purchase a Medicare Advantage Plan and receive all your Part A and Part B benefits that way.
Understanding the Basics
Medicare Part A
Medicare A is hospital insurance. This will assist you with the cost of any hospital, nursing facility or hospice stays. While it does not cover the cost of many of your actual treatments, it will cover your room and board in a semi-private room. Medicare A typically comes at a $0 cost to you, as it is covered by premiums that you have pre-funded through tax during your working years.
Medicare Part B
Medicare B is your outpatient medical coverage. It includes all of your other healthcare coverage outside of your inpatient fees (covered in Part A). Medicare B covers medically necessary services and supplies used to diagnose and treat medical conditions, plus preventative services for illness prevention. Examples include ambulance services, mental health care, clinical research, cancer treatment and doctor’s visits. Medicare B requires a monthly premium that is paid to the Social Security Administration. The cost of the premium can vary each year and may be higher based on your income from two years prior to your enrollment.
Medicare Plans
Medicare Supplement
Medicare Parts A and B do not cover all of your health treatments and can leave you out of pocket. Medicare Supplement, also known as Medigap will cover the gaps and deductibles that Part A and Part B leave behind. However, this typically comes at a premium.
Prescription Drugs
A service that covers prescription drugs is known as Medicare Part D. Within this plan, we would help you select a carrier and enroll in their drug plan. As part of this, we take into consideration your current medication and preferred pharmacy to ensure we find coverage that is best for you.
Medicare Advantage
The Medicare Advantage Plan is also known as Medicare Part C. This service is a replacement to traditional Parts A and B and is gives you private and more comprehensive healthcare coverage. This plan is tailored to your needs and can also include a prescription drug program, plus vision and dental treatment.
Vision and Dental
Neither dental care nor vision care is seen as medically necessary by Medicare, meaning that dental exams, eye checks and glasses are not covered as part of Original Medicare. We can help you build vision and dental coverage so that you won’t be left with a hefty and unexpected bill.

“We were wanting to look at a different Medicare plan than the one we had enrolled in. Kirstie came to our home and discussed the difference of benefits in each plan. She provided a no pressure comparison, pointing out the benefits of each plan for our situation. I highly recommend Kirstie, she knows her stuff and wants us to be satisfied!”
